Pete Irving

​BJJ black belt Pete began training in MMA in 2002, fighting on small regional events, and made his professional debut in 2003 on Cagewarriors 4.


At the beginning of 2004 Pete made the move to Brazil, studying under Master Crezio de Souza, a legendary figure in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Brazilian wrestling team member and pioneer of Vale-Tudo (anything goes) fighting.

After dedicating two years completely to studying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo.

Pete returned to Mixed Martial Arts in December 2005, as part of Kru Barry Norman's team at the legendary Sor Thanikul Newcastle gym; going on to become one of Britain’s most highly regarded MMA fighters, becoming 2x Strike and Submit British MMA champion, and facing top European opposition to become 2x Strike and Submit European MMA champion and 3x Xth Legion European MMA champion.

Pete made the move to K-1 rules fighting in 2012, capturing the UCMMA UK-1 Welterweight belt, the XFS super middleweight title and the ICO super middleweight British title- amassing an overall Muay Thai/K-1 record of 10-1-1 under the tutelage of Semtex coaches Steve Gladstone and Kieran Keddle.

Pete received his black belt in BJJ from his trainer Leo Negao and his black belt in Chinese boxing from his MMA coach and mentor Alan Orr in 2011.

Pete is also the technique  expert for leading MMA publication Fighters Only magazine, and author of the popular training columns Fight like, Strategy clinic, technique clinic and winning techniques.

​Richy began his fighting career as an amateur boxer, and made the move to MMA after meeting Pete in 2005. Studying primarily no-gi jiu-jitsu, Richy earned his BJJ Brown belt in 2011 from 4xWorld champion Black belt Leo Negao. Richy has proved his submission skills in MMA, fighting in Europe and at home, and is the current reigning Xth Legion light heavyweight international amateur champion.
